EA's new bidirectional DC power supply comes with an integrated renewable electronic load. The EA-PSB 10000 series delivers 15kW in a 3U chassis and 30kW in a 4U chassis with voltages up to 2000 VDC. It can be easily paralleled to nearly 1.92MW of power. All EA DC sources and loads feature a true wide range of capabilities that automatically ramp up the current at low voltages, allowing a single unit to meet a wider range of test requirements.
The PSB series features a 5" TFT touchscreen display for intuitive control, setup, and programming. The intelligent operator interface allows for quick configuration and testing, eliminating the need for extensive manual checks.
The EA DC power supply comes standard with an arbitrary waveform function generator, interchangeable digital interface control, and built-in test routines for e.g. battery testing, PV simulation, and MPP tracking, to name a few.

The wide range allows the power supply to automatically adjust to a high voltage at a low current and a high output current when the voltage is low. The wide range of EA power supplies allows them to maintain full power output even when voltage and current drop to 33% of the rated output value.

The PSB series is a bidirectional power supply, meaning it can either pull (supply current) or sink (sink current) and feed current back to the local grid with up to 96% efficiency.
